We are dedicated to making sure all young children are given the opportunity to learn as many valuable lessons as possible during the years when it is easiest for them to learn. None of this would be possible without the help of passionate, caring, dedicated volunteers. Whether you want to help children in the classroom or work behind the scenes, your time truly can make a difference in a child's life, not to mention their families.
You see, children aren't the only people who learn at Head Start. As a parent volunteer or community volunteer you can gain many important life, parenting and employment skills.
Examples of how YOU can help at Head start
*Be a member of the parent committee, policy council or board of trustees
*Read or tell a story to a child
*Share a hobby or talent
*Get materials ready to use for a project
*Contribute ideas and thoughts for the program
*Attend meeting or trainings
*Play a game with a class
*Arrange a bulletin board
*Save or collect recyclable materials for crafts
*Repair toys, books or other equipment
*Help clean/sanitize classroom equipment
*Give a parent a ride
